On 21st, August of 2012 , 58.7m AHTS ADS ARENDAL built by Yuexin Ocean Engineering has been Delivered to Lion AHTS AS Company successfully .
Applying the preliminary design of KHIAM CHUAN MARINE, the vessel is built under the survey of Bureau Veritas. It measures in length of 58.7m with 14.6 breath moulded and 4.5m max draft. The speed is 13.55 knots and the bollard pull reaches 65.92 ton, the vessel can carry 475m3 fuel oil, 230m3 fresh water, 255m3 mud and 187 m3 dry bulk. The gross tonnage is about 1450 ton.
Power is provided by a twin CATERPILLAR main engine each rated 1920kw at 1600rpm per minute, driving a pair of ZF controllable pitch propellers. The electrical power is supplied by three 350KW CATERPILLAR diesel-driven generators with a Volvo emergency generator, providing ever fount energy for the ship. Manoeuvrability is enhanced by a Kawasaki bow thruster.
58.7M AHTS is the series that Yuexin first involved in OSV construction when it was founded. Until now Yuexin has delivered over 20 vessels of that series, which is positioned as the featured product. Yuexin keep improving it to meet ship owners’ needs to win a bigger market.
