Pemex to Present at Offshore Energy Conference 2012 in Amsterdam

Carlos Morales-Gil, Director-general Exploration & Production of the Mexican oil company Pemex will participate in the Offshore Energy Conference 2012 in Amsterdam. He will present the latest developments in upstream oil and gas in Mexico and Pemex’s strategy for the future.

The Offshore Energy Conference will take on 23 & 24 October in Amsterdam RAI and runs parallel to the Offshore Energy Exhibition. The session featuring Morales-Gil is scheduled on Tuesday 23 October from 11.00 – 12.00 hours and is free to attend. The Offshore Energy Conference both ticketed sessions, free to attend side events and tailored sessions organized by supply chain companies.

Pemex

Petroleos Mexicanos is the biggest company of Mexico and Latin America, and the most important fiscal contributor of the country. It is active in both exploration, distribution and commercialization of petroleum products. Carlos Morales-Gil’s participation in Offshore Energy is part of a three day visit to The Netherlands, during which he will visit key industry players such as Shell and TU Delft.

Besides the developments in the Mexican petroleum industry, the Offshore Energy program will cover such topics as perspectives on North Sea oil and gas discoveries, challenging hydrocarbons and future offshore vessel concepts. Sessions on renewable energy offer insights into the challenges of an offshore grid and developments in wave & tidal energy.

Offshore Energy is the only event dedicated to offshore energy in The Netherlands and is home to a wide range of renowned and internationally operating offshore companies. The 2011 edition attracted 292 exhibitors, the 2012 edition is expected to welcome over 400 exhibitors, 6,500 visitors and 600 delegates from over 30 nationalities.
