The Coastal Engineering Research Board (CERB), which provides guidance to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for coastal engineering research, will meet September 18th and 19th at the Wyndham Jacksonville, 1515 Prudential Dr., Jacksonville, Fla.

The theme of the meeting is “Regional Sediment Management – Uniting Navigation, Beaches, and the Ecosystem,” and is hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Atlantic Division and the Jacksonville District. The CERB is open to the public.

The CERB is a congressionally authorized advisory board that provides policy guidance and review of plans and funding requirements for coastal research and development to the Chief of the Corps of Engineers. The board usually meets once a year at various coastal and Great Lakes locations. The CERB is comprised of four Corps of Engineers senior officers and three civilian engineers/scientists who are experts in the field of coastal engineering.
