Offshore Marine Management Limited (OMM) has announced, on August 22, 2012, that it is to sell the assets of its recently-rebranded personnel supply business, Main Source Offshore People Limited (MSOP) to Atlas Services Group Energy Limited (Atlas). The acquisition will see the transfer of assets including contracts and staff

Atlas Services Group Energy has been operating in the Energy and Marine industry for more than 30 years. The company has established an excellent reputation and holds important home market positions both inside and outside of Europe. Atlas Services Group works with professionals in the Energy and Marine industry and will further support the good work of Main Source Offshore People.

Through the acquisition, all existing MSOP management and staff will transfer to Atlas. However, the team will continue to operate from the current Bristol site in order to minimise disruption to both clients and contractors.

It marks a clear focus in strategy for OMM as it continues to develop its ‘Marine Made-to-Measure’ offshore project work, such as: subsea surveys, cable installation, cable burial operations, shore end operations, software and vessel selection and assistance.

OMM’s Managing Director and owner Mr Robert Grimmond stated: “The decision to sell the business was very difficult, but at this point in time I believe it will allow us to focus on the delivery of offshore projects, which is our specialist service. Our personnel service has been at the heart of OMM since the business was founded, so its growth is an achievement that OMM can be proud of. One of OMM’s core strengths lies in growing areas of new opportunity to ensure we excel and drive innovation forward”
