Norway: Island Offshore Orders Two PSVs from STX OSV Brevik

Island Offshore has declared an option with STX OSV Brevik to build 2 medium size PSV`s type UT 717 CD. These vessels will become number 3 & 4 in the series and they will be delivered in November 2013 and February 2014.

The hulls will be delivered from STX OSV Braila in Romania and completed at STX OSV Brevik. Total contract value is approximately NOK 500 mill.

These vessels will be identical with the first two vessels on order with the exception that they will have fire fighting class FiFi-II instead of FiFi-I. Overall length of each vessel is 84,3 meters with a beam of 17 meters. Deadweight is approximately 3800 DWT.

These vessel are being built towards the international market and confirm Island Offshore’s determination to take a leading position in this market segment. The company looks forward to expanding the long term relationship with STX OSV.
