Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has opened a new office in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai). The office has been established for the purpose of ensuring quality, timely and cost-effective request performance in the region including a number of countries of the Arabian Peninsula and the African Continent.

The new office in the UAE has been established in line with the RS global expansion strategy. As of September 2012, the RS structure includes the Design and Newbuilding Support Centre in the Republic of Korea (Busan), new offices in Italy (Genoa), the Netherlands (Rotterdam), the Republic of Belarus (Osipovichi). Besides, the Regional Office for Atlantic Area, launched in December 2011, with its headquarters in Germany (Hamburg) coordinates all requests in Europe, North and South America.
