REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. has finished construction of the first from the series of four gas powered car–passenger ferries built for one of the biggest Norwegian Owners.

Construction of the ferry “Landegode” began in 2011. After successful completing of the sea trials, the vessel was delivered to the Owner. Ceremonial changing of the flag took place on Thursday, 4th of October 2012.

Obrazek Ferry “Landegode” will serve the passenger traffic between port Bodo and Lofoten archipelago. Ferry can take on board 390 passengers and 120 cars. In order to reduce the environment pollution, the unconventional, LNG propulsion limiting emission of NOx and SOx to the atmosphere was used.

Ferry “Landegode” is already fifth vessel built at the shipyard for this Owner.

In October 2011 the first series of two diesel powered, double ended ferries were delivered to the Owner. The construction of the second series of ferries Ro-Pax type was completed on 10th of December 2011. Currently, all delivered ferries are serving public transport along Norwegian coast.
