Simnav BV Merges with Alewijnse Marine Systems (The Netherlands)

Following its take-over in April by Alewijnse Holding B.V., Alblasserdam-based Simnav B.V. has now merged with the Navigation and Communications department of Alewijnse Marine Systems to create Admarel B.V. All activities of both companies are now continuing under the new name. The name Admarel stands for advanced marine electronics.

The combined company is now operating from the Alblasserdam site. The company specialises in maritime electronics with a focus on sales, service, installation, engineering and product training of navigation & communication products for yachts, inland navigation, the dredging industry, ocean-going commercial vessels and the Navy.

“The cooperation between various disciplines at Admarel B.V. guarantees optimal support for our customers,” says Michiel Louwerse of Admarel B.V. “We have s special proposition because with our broad knowledge in the area of maritime electronics we can respond perfectly to our customers’ needs.”

The product range covers the full scope of navigation and communication equipment for commercial vessels (short sea & deep sea), inland navigation, cruise ships and superyachts. In addition, the range will expand in the near future with the addition of shore converters, entertainmentsystems, onboard computers, IT networks and security.

The company is dealer of RAYTHEON ANSCHÜTZ Sailor, Raymarine, Simrad, B&G, Snap TV, Atlas shore converters and Alewijnse Inland radar.

Admarel operates in markets in which high-quality, integrated solutions are central. The merger of these two leading companies with their complementary skills and capabilities makes it possible for the new business to take on and supervismore and larger projects around the world.
