On October 17, 2012 a ceremony of laying of a 16 mWt new generation icebreaker of project 21900M for FSUE “Rosmorport” was held at the Vyborg shipyard in the presence of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Viktor Olersky and deputy General Director for fleet of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Aleksandr Alyoshkin.
Representatives of Rosmorrechflot, members of the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of Russia in the North-Western federal district, and the head of the Vyborg area of Leningrad region also took part in the solemn events.
During the solemn ceremony the first section of the frame of the icebreaker-to-be was consecrated, and a laying board was attached to it.
