WIND and Oceanteam Shipping have announced the establishment of their new joint venture OceanWind Cable Storage Solutions.
OceanWind aims to facilitate the submarine cable industry by offering its clients a full and integrated range of services comprising cable storage, cable handling, and cable transport.
OceanWind’s cable storage facility is situated immediately behind the North Sea locks of IJmuiden, offering a tidal free quay of 400 meters length where the biggest of cable ships can be received. Cable handling and storage equipment (turn tables, static tanks, quadrants, etc) as well as experienced cable handling crews are readily available.
OceanWind offers the following services:
– short and long term cable storage with fast access to the North Sea
– ship-to-ship cable transfers
– vessel mobilisation/de-mobilisation
– transport from and to any port worldwide
