The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is seeking eligible businesses to provide for the emergent support requirements and the yearly maintenance and overhaul/dry-docking of the USACE Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge YAQUINA.

YAQUINA has Overall Length of 200 ft, a Beam of 58 ft, a Normal Light Draft Aft of 10 ft 3 inches and is 2001 Long Tons.

The USACE Portland District maintains a USCG Certificate of Inspection as well as an American Bureaus of Shipping (ABS) Loadline for the YAQUINA and all work must meet the standards of those two regulatory bodies.

All overhaul/dry-dock work is to be performed at the contractor’s facility on or about the above mentioned dates. The emergent support requirements may be accomplished at the contractor’s facility or possibly wherever the vessel may be operating, as determined by the Portland District and dredge’s operating schedule.

Area of consideration for the overhaul/dry-docking period is the northwest coast of the continental United States.

Major work items associated with the overhaul/dry-docking include: hopper staging and steel repairs, bow thruster remount, drag arm system winch repairs and machinery overhauls, valve repairs, replacements and general ship systems maintenance and repair work.
