Croatia: Uljanik Hands Over “Pedro ‘Alvares Cabral” to Jan De Nul

Yesterday Uljanik Shipyard delivered the dredger “Pedro ‘Alvares Cabral” to Jan De Nul Group. Yesterday Uljanik Shipyard delivered the dredger “Pedro ‘Alvares Cabral” to Jan De Nul Group.

This is the first ship from a series of two trailing suction hopper dredgers constructed by Uljanik for the Luxembourg company Jan De Nul S.A. Capellen G.D. Luxembourg.

With a deadweight of 26,000 tonnes, “Pedro ‘Alves Cabral” is 147.6 m long and 30 m broad. The ship and its working equipment will be powered by two main diesel engines of 7200 kW each.

The depth from which the vessel will be sucking material will range from 42 to 50 meters.
