Onomichi Dockyard delivered, October 26th, the 50.000 DWT Product Tanker named “PACIFIC TOPAZ”. The vessel, build for the IMABARI SENPAKU CO., is a newly developed Medium Range ONOMICHI MARK III type tanker fully complied with the latest IMO as well as MARPOL regulations.

The vessel has the Onomichi Straight Bow (OSB) and the Onomichi Parallel Fin (OPF). The OSB has a sharp waterline entrance angle which reduces resistance of waves, and the OPF improves stern flow and controls the inflow of the propeller. As a result, it reduces fuel consumption in waves.

Mainly, PACIFIC TOPAZ is built to carry refined oil products having cargo pumps in the pump room.
