After a week of sea trials, Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co (HTS), on Nov. 20th, completed testing of 57.000 DWT Bulk Carrier (Hull No.:HT095) which was built for Eagle. The vessel met all inspections requirements of the ship owners and the class and was delivered on the same day from the shipyard’s wharf.

The vessel comes as a new type of supramax bulk carrier optimised to burn less fuel oil. The efficiency improvements have been achieved by carrying out a number of changes including: de-rating the main engine, a new propeller design which has been optimised for the de-rated engine, and fitting a mewis duct.
