Statoil Petroleum AS has awarded Eidesvik Offshore ASA with a 2 years extension for the LNG fuelled Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) Viking Energy.

The contract has further 2×2 years options for extension.

The Viking Energy was the first LNG fueled PSV in the world when it was delivered in 2003, and has been on contract for Statoil since delivery.

“Eidesvik have worked for Statoil for more than 30 years. We are convinced that the outstanding performance of our offshore personnel during all these years has been an important factor in the award of this contract” , says President and CEO Jan Fredrik Meling.
