Germany: RIFFGAT Grid Connection Progresses on Schedule

Offshore wind farm RIFFGAT, the joint project of Ewe and Enova, is under construction since May 2012. These days, the export cable has been laid for the future substation. Offshore wind farm RIFFGAT, the joint project of Ewe and Enova, is under construction since May 2012.

These days, the export cable has been laid for the future substation. With this cable, generated energy will be transported to the mainland.

Project manager, Wilfried Hube, said that the cable will be connected to the substation in February next year.

Parallel to the laying of the export cable, the contractor is working on the cabling within the wind farm.
