STX Offshore & Shipbuilding revealed on December 23th that the company has secured a contract worth USD 695 million to build 13 oil tankers for BP Shipping, Reuters reports.
The South Korean shipbuilder is hired to build three 160,000 DWT and ten 110,000 DWT vessels with sheduled delivery by the end of 2015. The contract includes an additional option for eight more tankers.
