GasLog Ltd, an international owner, operator and manager of liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, announced yesterday that the company’s options for two LNG carriers at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) that were previously reported to have expiry in 2012, will now expire in the first quarter of 2013.
Besides ten wholly-owned LNG carriers, of which two were delivered to GasLog in 2010 from SHI and eight ships scheduled for delivery between 2013 and 2015 from the same shipbuilder, the company manages a fleet of twelve tankers owned by other companies.
