Statoil to Use Transocean Searcher on Tyrihans Field (Norway)

Statoil Petroleum ASA has received consent to use Transocean Searcher for intervention work on the Tyrihans field. The consent relates to use of the Transocean Searcher semi-submersible drilling facility to carry out intervention work in well 6407/1-B-3 H, which is part of production licence 091. Th

Statoil Petroleum ASA has received consent to use Transocean Searcher for intervention work on the Tyrihans field.

The consent relates to use of the Transocean Searcher semi-submersible drilling facility to carry out intervention work in well 6407/1-B-3 H, which is part of production licence 091.

The operation is scheduled to start up in March 2013, with an overall duration of 14 days.

Water depth at the location is 275 metres.

The Transocean Searcher is a semi-submersible facility of the Bingo 3000 design, built in 1983. The facility is owned by Transocean Offshore and received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in December 2003.
