A poll released on January 17 shows that 72% of Marylanders support investing in the development of offshore wind power.
Also, Governor Martin O’Malley introduced a bill last month, which will create a framework that will support the development of a 200 MW offshore wind project and establish a regulatory framework that will allow additional projects to interconnect in Maryland.
As we reported today , renewable energy advocates say that the Maryland offshore wind project could be an outbreak for the U.S. offshore wind industry.
