J+S have recently supplied two subsea electrical distribution boxes (EDB) to Total E&P UK Limited in support of their Ellon field subsea development plans.
Previous planned extensions and updates to the field led to the need for additional electrical distribution subsea to achieve the required additional connectivity.
The company worked with the Total subsea engineers to come up with a design that met the requirements. The subsea distribution units were designed, manufactured, tested, delivered, and installed subsea within 14 weeks of contract award.

J+S have invested in the personnel, training, and toolsets to offer design and manufacturing services in support of clients’ subsea assets. These assets can no longer be supported by “off the shelf” products. The obsolescence and support issues that are prevalent in the North Sea need this specialist independent innovative approach to maintaining the viability of these assets.
