On 27 – 28 February 2013, the Offshore Wind – Transport and Lift Conference will take place in London. The conference focuses at improving accuracy and safety of offshore wind installations.

Patrick van Eerten, Jumbo’s Director Operations and Offshore, is a speaker at this event. He will give a presentation on how DP Heavy Lift Vessels can be used for the transport and installation of offshore wind farms.

Other speakers at the conference are: Karsten Dan Andersen, Kaj Lindvig, Nick Latham, Jan Schreiber, Peter Bouman and Pim Nelemans.

The key stakeholders in the industry will discuss:

– The workability of cranes in high winds

– The operator’s perspective on vessel capabilities and requirements

– Where the transport and lift market for the offshore wind industry will be in the next 10 years

– Developments in large capacity cranes and supporting heavy lift equipment
