The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has decided to rename the Dagny field in the North Sea. As from today 8 March – International Women’s Day – the field will be known as Gina Krog. Krog (1847-1916) was a well-known champion of women’s rights, who fought for equal rights for men and women

As from today 8 March – International Women’s Day – the field will be known as Gina Krog.
Krog (1847-1916) was a well-known champion of women’s rights, who fought for equal rights for men and women and took part in the struggle to achieve voting rights for women on the same terms as men.
