National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) officially released the 11th round bids which expected to put Brazil back on the map of international bidding rounds. The 11th round bids which should bid over 300 exploration blocks will be taking place a week before Accelerate Oil & Gas 2013 on 14th-15th May.
Based on the 11th round bids, Accelerate Oil & Gas 2013 will held a workshop “Exploration & production of Pre-Salt and government auctions” hosted by IBP, featuring anchors from Shell, Statoil, Barra Energia and ANP itself, focusing on the 11th-round Pre-Salt tenders (the first such a tender since December 2008), which will be held on the first day of the event, 21 May at the Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro. Claudia Rabello, Superintendent Promotion of Procurement at ANP will share the session with Flávio Ofugi Rodrigues – Director of Government Relation & Regulatory Affairs, Shell Brasil, Renato Bertani – President for World Petroleum Council and CEO, Barra Energia, and Mauro de Andrade – Vice-President of Public Affairs, Statoil Brasil. The goal of the session is to assess implemented technological applications and its realistic results of the first phase of the pre-salt layer exploitation. The 2nd edition of Accelerate Oil & Gas 2013 expects the next big opening of businesses and partnerships in Brazilian oil & gas sector. The companies can take advantage of the “Meeting Scheduler” to search for and schedule meetings at Accelerate Oil & Gas with their most suitable industry counterparts during the expo-forum which will be held on 21-22 May.
Accelerate Oil & Gas will afford foreign contractors, suppliers and service providers an important opportunity to meet with representatives of Petrobras and participants of other leading oil companies.
