Adria Winch, together with its partner Seaonics AS, was awarded a contract to supply marine equipment for two STX OSV’s Offshore Subsea Construction Vessels with a total value of €406.800 (US$ 526.60). The vessels are currently being built in STX OSV Brattvaag Shipyard for Siem Offshore, a Norwegian owner.

Scope of supply includes custom designed deck equipment – two Electrical Anchor Mooring winches for 56K3 chain category with stoppers and two Electrical Mooring Winches with 100 kN pulling force.

“Electrically driven winches with far better efficiency than traditional hydraulic system. Latest technology of variable frequency drives (VFD) allows controllable speed and line pull force. This technical solution reduces installation costs, power consumption, as well as time-saving and anchor-mooring operations “, said the Company in a press release.

The Contract for Offshore Subsea Construction Vessels is a successful follow-up to earlier cooperation with STX OSV on three Fishing Vessels – “Gadus Poseidon“ , “Gadus Njård“ and “Gadus Neptun“ which were constructed for Norwegian company Aker Seafood ASA.
