Hyundai to Build FPU and TLP for Total’s Project Offshore Congo
South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), the world’s biggest shipbuilder and leading offshore facilities contractor announced it received a letter of award for a USD 1.3 billion order for a floating production unit (FPU) and a USD 700 million order for a tension leg platform (TLP) from Total E&P Congo on March 26.
SBM Offshore Bags Its Biggest FPSO Contract (Brazil)
SBM Offshore has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the twenty year charter and operation of two (2) FPSOs from BM-S-11 subsidiary Tupi BV on 22 March 2013.
The FPSOs will be deployed at the Lula field in the pre-salt province offshore Brazil. BM-S-11 block is under concession to a consortium comprised of PETROBRAS (65%), BG E&P Brasil Ltda. (25%), and Petrogal Brasil S.A.(10%).

BG Won’t Build Lomond BLP (UK)
BG has informed Serica, as Operator of the Columbus field, that it has decided not to proceed with the construction of a Bridge Linked Platform (“BLP”) adjacent to the BG operated Lomond field. The BLP was to be part of the export route for gas and gas condensate from the Columbus field.
Turkey Stops Business Relations with Italy’s Eni
Turkey has chosen to suspend all business relations with Italian oil company Eni, as a response to the oil giant’s involvement in oil and gas exploration in disputed waters offshore Cyprus, Anadolu news agency has reported.
