Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) confirmed that it has won a $900 million order to build four LNG tankers for Bonny Gas Transport, a unit of Nigeria LNG. Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) confirmed that it has won a $900 million order to build four LNG tankers for Bonny Gas Transport, a unit of Nigeria LNG.
SHI said in a filing to the Korea Stock Exchange that it will begin delivering the four liquefied natural gas tankers to Bonny Gas Transport in 2015.
BNP Paribas and GT Bank of Nigeria are brokering a $1.6 billion loan to help fund the LNG tanker order, Reuters reported.
