Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) has successfully relocated its staff and response equipment to a new base in Loyang, Singapore.
The new facility offers a combined approximate 3,426m2 of warehouse, workshop and office space to deliver the growing range of response and preparedness services. OSRL’s Response teams are fully operational and ready to be mobilised to an incident.
The suite of oil spill solutions will be further augmented with the addition of subsea well intervention equipment which is anticipated to arrive in Singapore in May 2013. OSRL is now working on finishing the construction of a purpose-built warehouse to store the subsea well capping stacks and ancillaries.
Company’s current location within the Loyang Offshore Supply Base also affords the proximity and access to the specialised logistics services required to mount an effective response by sea or air.
A planned surplus of space offers the potential to further expand workforce and stockpile of equipment and dispersant if necessitated by Members’ needs.
An official inauguration ceremony will be planned for June, and more details will be shared in due course.
