Svenja Installs First Subsea Platform to Support Costa Concordia Refloating
Early this morning, the work started on Giglio Island to install platform no. 1, the biggest subsea base which, with the other 5 subsea platforms, will provide a safe supporting structure for the Costa Concordia wreck after it is rotated into a vertical position (“parbuckling”, as this is known).

Norwegian Cruise Line on Friday announced that the line’s newest and most innovative ship to date, Norwegian Breakaway, successfully completed her technical and nautical sea trials which took place off the coast of Norway and Denmark. DSME of South Korea said that on 28th March. Hull No. 2288. a 159,800 CBM LNG carrier ordered by Maran Gas Maritime Inc. was named ‘Woodside Rogers’ at Quay F.I by Ms. Jan Rogers, spouse of Mr. Bill Rogers who is the former Chairman of Woodside Energy Ltd.
