Christening Ceremony for New Addition to Wan Hai’s Fleet

Wan Hai Lines held a christening ceremony for the latest addition to its fleet, a 4,680 TEU container ship “WAN HAI 516″. The ceremony was organized at CSBC CORP., TAIWAN Kaohsiung shipyard on April 10th, Mr. Po Ting Chen, Chairman of Wan Hai Lines presided over the ceremony.

There is a total of 14 vessels ordered by Wan Hai to CSBC Corp, including four 1,800 TEUs, four 1,000 TEUs and six 4,500 TEUs which will be delivered in the first half of 2013.

“WAN HAI 516″ has the following particulars: maximum loading capacity is 4,680 TEU, length over all 259 meters; draft 12.8 meters; 57,830 dead weight and 23.2 nautical miles max cruising speed.

The containerized vessel is equipped with the latest and most advanced naval technologies in order to guarantee quality services to both Wan Hai’s network and the customers.
