Norway’s Acona AS has been awarded long term Well management agreement with Germany’s Bayerngas.
Acona’s planning of the first Bayerngas-well will probably start in the autumn. The agreement also provides Acona opportunity to work for Bayerngas’ operations in the UK.
“The agreement consolidates Acona’s strong position as a provider of project management services within drilling and well. Our experienced well management team has over several years gained valuable expertise. Our customers clearly see the benefit of integrating this expertise in their own organization,” says CEO Oddbjørn Kopperstad in Acona AS.
In practical terms the agreement means that the operator, Bayerngas, receives essential services within planning and executing of its drilling operations from Acona. Under the agreement, a well management team from Acona will work integrated with Bayerngas ‘ organization and together constitute a unified management team of Bayerngas’ drilling operations.
Bayerngas is a partner in the Leiv Eiriksson consortium, and the drilling rig Leiv Eirksson will drill its first wells.
