On 19th April 2013, Jiangsu Hantong signed a contract with Peter DÖhle in Wenjing International Hotel regarding the order of 3+2 SDARI design 38,800 DWT bulk carriers. These vessels will be delivered from the second quarter of 2015.
Vessels belonging to the 38,800 DWT BC and 64,000DWT BC series will be the main vessel types of Hantong.
Hantong persists in its strategy of focusing on bulk carrier business.
From the beginning of 2012, the company has been pursuing development of new Green vessels, which will be in conformity with the newest international shipbuilding regulations and rules. From the beginning of 2013 Hantong has inked construction contracts for 12 new vessels.
