The 23,000-ton Spar will be on its way to the US Gulf of Mexico in coming weeks.

After the arrival, Lucius Spar will be installed 380km southwest of Port Fourchon, Louisiana in a water depth of approximately 2,160m.

The Lucius truss Spar will have a nameplate capacity of 80,000 barrels of oil per day and 450 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

This Spar is the fifteenth delivered by Technip, and it is expected to start production in the latter half of 2014.
