UK: Njord Offshore Implements Marine Software Solution for Wind Farm Vessels

U.K based Marine Software Ltd have recently delivered Marine Planned Maintenance software to Njord Offshore, to manage planned maintenance activities for their 21m crew transfer vessels (CTVs) “ Njord Avocet ” and “ Njord Kittiwake “.

These two vessels are purpose built for the Offshore Wind Farm Industry in a series of vessels managed by Njord Offshore.

Designed by naval architect’s BMT Nigel Gee and built by Strategic Marine, these vessels are the first of 6 which are designed, surveyed and classed to DNV + IAI HSLC R2 Wind Farm Service 1 notation.

Under the contract, Marine Software were also commissioned to construct the PM database setups for “ Njord Avocet ” and “ Njord Kittiwake “, along with providing system administrator training. Njord Offshore will soon take delivery of the PM databases for the next 2 vessels in the series “ Njord Curlew ” and “ Njord Lapwing “.
