FoundOcean, the world’s largest dedicated offshore construction grouting company, has expanded its range of products and services to include the design and manufacture of their own range of fabric formwork grout bags for subsea applications, by setting up a joint venture with their Indian-based partner Ambico Group.

“Ambico and FoundOcean have worked together since 2006,” remarked Amit Biswas, CEO of Ambico Group. “Opening the fabric formwork manufacturing facility together was a natural step in being able to offer our clients a single source for the design, manufacture, and installation of a wide range of high-quality grout bags.”

The Mumbai-based factory employs 35 people, and has already won significant contracts to supply grout bags all over the world, including 2,500 fill-and-remove formworks for the ongoing Costa Concordia wreck removal project where FoundOcean has been mobilised since October 2012.

“Our DNV-accredited manufacturing facility is world-class and has the capability to produce standard and custom formworks for a range of subsea applications. We can now deliver more quickly and to a higher manufacturing standard than any others currently on the market,” explained Jim Bell, Managing Director for FoundOcean.
