International marine engineering company SeaRoc have announced updated contract figures for their marine monitoring and management system SeaPlanner – the web-based software designed specifically for the offshore industry by a team of leading software designers and marine construction professionals.

The SeaPlanner system is a suite of modules that enable clients to efficiently control spatial information such as vessel and personnel locations, infrastructure and assets and site specific metocean data, together with personnel certifications, resourcing plans, documentation and HSE risk/incident logs. The system provides a clear audit trail of all information on site from Day One.

SeaPlanner is now confirmed as the key platform for marine management, having been used on 3932MW of project capacity across nearly 900 wind turbines.

SeaPlanner is now the leading provider of real-time marine management across Europe, and in its home UK market has been used on 48% of all offshore wind projects – including consented, under construction and in operation. Whilst most projects remain confidential, those in the public domain include:

• Teesside Offshore Wind Farm

• Dan Tysk Offshore Wind Farm

• West of Duddon Sands Offshore Wind Farm

• Robin Rigg Offshore Wind Farm

• Thornton Bank Offshore Wind Farm

Since SeaPlanner’s adoption as the industry standard tool, its team has grown considerably. In addition to General Manager Dominic Stratton and new Technical Manager Roy Dempster, a dedicated 11-strong team supports SeaPlanner contracts, with additional supporting members working across both SeaRoc and SeaPlanner.

Commenting on the team’s growth and new contract signings, Dominic Stratton said: “SeaPlanner was first developed in 2007 and in just over five years the system has become industry leading – that is something we are all very proud of. SeaPlanner enables safer, more efficient working on site by multiple teams trying to share critical information. We offer the only solution that pulls together all the pieces of the jigsaw allowing our clients to see the complete offshore picture, and even the onshore elements of that picture too! In 2012 we signed nine new sites, and halfway through 2013 we have already signed an additional five. We have a team to deliver and a system that is as capable as it is stable. That winning combination seems to be ticking all of the right boxes with the market.”
