Doedijns recently received a Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3) certificate from Lloyd’s Register according to IEC 61508 standards for its complete series Compact Actuators.

In recent years, the IEC 61508 standard has provided a more structured approach to both risk assessment and risk-reduction methods. A Safety Integrity Level 3 certificate contains the second highest requirement in terms of security requirements. Doedijns is pleased to announce that its product line SITE Compact Actuators meet these requirements.

Doedijns’ own product line SITE Compact Actuators includes a new, innovative product line which saves up to 70% space compared to standard actuators. Combined with maximum security SITE Compact Actuators are ideal for use in areas where space is limited, such as FPSOs and offshore platforms.

The standard series SITE Compact Actuators consist of pneumatic or hydraulic, spring return or double acting actuators and the unique lift & turn actuators. In addition to these standard series, Doedijns develops and manufactures actuators which can be fully adapted to the specifications and requirements of customers.
