KIC-OffWindTech project and IREC are organizing “Symposium on Offshore wind technologies (OffWindTech)”, to be held at ETSEIB (UPC, Barcelona) premises, on June 20th, 2013.

The goal of this workshop is providing a space to discuss the challenges of the offshore wind power by two thematic sessions: Offshore wind farm grid integration and offshore wind farm aerodynamics / aeroelastics.

KIC- OffWindTech is a research project funded by KIC InnoEnergy. The project aims at identifying the main challenges and limitations in offshore, especially deep water offshore wind energy, and to seek and analyze viable alternatives in the field of power transmission, dive train technology and offshore blades.
