Murmanskaya Rig Undergoes Repairs at DQS (Vietnam)

Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd. (DQS) has received the Murmanskaya rig of ARKTIKMORNEFTEGAZRAZVEDKA.JOSC (RUSSIA) into Dry Dock No. 1 for repairing and maintenance works. Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd. (DQS) has received the Murmanskaya rig of ARKTIKMORNEFTEGAZRAZVEDKA.JOSC (RUSSIA) into Dry Dock No. 1 for repairing and maintenance works.

Murmanskaya has the length of 88.0m, it is 66.0m wide and 9.7m high, with a body length of 146.0m. The main repair works will include blasting and painting the entire rig. The total contract value is approximately 21 trillion dong.

DQS has mobilized 04 tug boat for rig towage. Following the rig’s entrance to the Dock, DQS engineers and workers have discharged the water and cleaned the hull shell to prepare it for the next stages. Repairing and maintenance time is expected to last 15 days.

Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd. has repaired and successfully delivered the Tam Dao 01 jack up rig to Vietsovpetro in 2013.
