China: Avic Dingheng Shipyard to Build LNG Bunkering Tanker for Jahre Marine

Norway based Jahre Marine AS has inked a contract with Avic Dingheng Shipyard for building of an LNG bunkering tanker with a capacity of 6200 cbm, SinoShip reports.

“ Avic Dingheng Shipyard has long experience and knowledge in building LNG, LPG and Ethylen carriers as well as product and chemical carriers, ” the Shipyard’s Spokesman Ni Zhimin stated.

The new tanker will be equipped with an IMO A-type liquefied gas storage tank and Rolls-Royce Marine’s propulsion system.

Funding for the new building has been ensured via Norwegian Nox fund and Nox Infrastructure facility fund.
