The jack-up barge THOR is currently docked at the Hannoverkai Terminal in Wilhelmshaven. At the docks of the Niedersachsen Ports, HOCHTIEF’s jack-up barge, which has been in service since 2010, is being technically upgraded and serviced as planned.

After this, it will be prepared for its next assignment at the Global Tech I offshore wind farm. For this purpose, THOR will be levitated next week to stand on its own feet in front of the Hannoverkai for a few days.

The NPorts’ facility is particularly well suited for this having in mind that the existing soil conditions guarantee stability of the ship. The handling of this vessel at the busy Hannoverkai terminal was made possible in close cooperation between Niedersachsen Ports and the companies currently operating in Hannoverkai.

Therefore, THOR, being already an eye catcher, will create quite a sight while levitated at the port in the coming days.
