This morning the process of transporting the 1200 tonnes heavy substation for Northwind Offshore Wind Farm from Bladt’s site to the quay took its beginning.

A multi-wheeler is used to transport the substation to the quay where a barge is waiting, and at the beginning of the afternoon the substation was in position and ready to be loaded onto the barge.

In the days to come, the substation will be fastened to the barge making it ready for departure from Aalborg on 22 June. From here, the substation is transported directly to the installation site where Bladt Industries will handle the commissioning.
