ABB AB has appointed Vos Prodect Innovations as preferred supplier for engineering, testing and supply of cable hang-off systems for the RWE’s 48- turbine Nordsee Ost (NSO) offshore wind farm in the German North Sea region.
Vos Prodect cable hang-off systems will be used to provide flexibility in cable laying and securing operations with the independently operated temporary and permanent hang-off sections.
Vos Prodect will design and supply 104 cable hang-off systems for the infield cables of NSO, connecting the turbines to the substation.
NSO project is the third offshore wind farm hang-off supply contract secured in 2013.
“This is a strategically important contract for us to be the nominated supplier of individual cable manufacturers, with respect to reliable and independent engineering services,” the company said.
