MOL Comfort Suffers Damage During Trip to Jeddah
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. informed that the MOL-operated containership MOL Comfort suffered a crack amidships and ingressed water in the hold while under way from Singapore to Jeddah on the Indian Ocean on June 17, 2013 due to inclement weather.
MOL Comfort’s Parts Still Afloat
The two parts of MOL Comfort, the forward and aft portions, are drifting in the Arabian Sea after the containership broke apart two days ago during heavy weather en route to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Indian Coast Guard reports.
