At the occasion of the International economic forum of St Petersburg, GTT and FESRC have signed an agreement for the design and construction of LNG carriers in the Russian federation on June 21st 2013.

This agreement is particularly aiming at developing the construction of LNG carriers in the far eastern region of the Russian federation, in Zvezda, a shipyard located near Vladivostok. The vessels to be built in Zvezda are aiming at answering the various demands from Russian owners for LNG transportation. GTT will bring its expertise in its well-known membrane technology which, currently is used on more than 90 percent of the LNG carriers in construction and will work closely with FESRC to implement the assembly of membrane systems in FESRC and the production of required materials and equipment in the Russian federation.

At this occasion, Philippe Berterottière chairman and C.E.O. of GTT declared: “ We are very proud to be part of this great endeavor to develop and build LNG carriers in FERSC, we will make our utmost for making it an outstanding success. ”
