In April TGE Marine Gas Engineering signed a contract with Dalian Inteh Group for the design and supply of the gas handling system as well as cargo tank material package for a 28,000 cbm LNG-carrier which came into effect in mid-June.

The ship shall be built at COSCO Dalian Shipyard and is scheduled for delivery in 2015. TGE Marine developed the concept for the LNG-carrier jointly with the Chinese design firm Bestway as well as the owner.

This vessel will be China’s second LNG-carrier based on type C cargo tanks and shall deliver LNG from the CNPC Dalian terminal to Hainan island.

Manfred Küver, TGE Marine’s CEO , commented: “ We are very proud to have again been selected as engineering contractor for China’s second small LNG-carrier based on type C tank technology. As pointed out in the May announcement we expect this niche market to grow further considerably over the next years.”
