SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad (“SapuraKencana”) announces that its subsidiary Sapura Navegação Marítima S.A., Brazil (“SNM”) has been awarded contracts from Petrobras to charter and operate three Pipe Laying Support Vessels (“PLSV”).
The value of the contracts is approximately USD 2.7 billion.
The contracts are for a period of eight years with the extension option for additional eight years, and are expected to commence by the second quarter of 2016.
According to SapuraKencana’s stock exchange filing, the three PLSVs will be constructed outside of Brazil.
