Western Baltija Hands Over New Fishing Vessel to Danish Owner

The hull of fishing vessel “HERØYHAV” was delivered from Western Baltija Shipbuilding on 28 June 2013 to Danish shipbuilding company Karstensens Skibsværft AS.

The overall length of the fishing trawler’s hull is 69.95 m, breadth measures 15.0 m, while the depth of the main deck equals in 6.50 m. The vessel will be able to achieve a speed of 16 knots, accommodating a crew of 12 people maximum.

The vessel is equipped with refrigerated sea water tanks (RSW), the total capacity of which is 2100 m3. The new vessel has been equipped with pipeline, cable routes, main equipment and machinery. Western Baltija Shipbuilding has mounted a complex of shaft-propellers on the fishing trawler. Construction of the fishing vessel was carried out under the supervision of the Classification society Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

Final works will be carried out at Karstensens Skibsværft AS (Denmark).
