An audit of ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS (ConocoPhillips)’s new wellhead platform, 2/4 Z, on Ekofisk was carried out by the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) regarding the technical disciplines of process safety and electrical installations.

The objective of the inspection was to verify that Ekofisk 2/4-Z has been built in conformity with administrative requirements.

PSA didn’t identify any non-conformities or improvement points.

Ekofisk 2/4 Z will be an extension of the Ekofisk complex and connected to the process facility at 2/4 J via a gangway connection to 2/4 M.

It will have a total of 36 well slots, of which 35 can be used for production wells, while one slot will be used for cuttings reinjection.

Ekofisk reservoir consists of Cod, Ekofisk, West Ekofisk, Tor, Albuskjell, Eldfisk, Edda and Embla oil fields.
