Saipem, regarding the incident that occurred on July 1st to the jack up drilling rig Perro Negro 6, which was operating between the coasts of Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo, near the mouth of the Congo River, announces the following updates: the search for the missing person, of Bulgarian nationality, is currently under way and being carried out by the emergency authorities.
Furthermore, it confirms that monitoring of the wreck has shown no evidence of any type of spillage.
The company will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.
